holier than thou
holier than thou is a drawing sculpture that explores the intersections of how the spiritual is weaponised as a supremacist tool of oppression, expansion, and palpability. The work emphasises on the growing popularity of 'soft Hindutva' in the imperial cores through the commodification of spirituality, 'Hindutva' ideology, is an extremist ethno-national idea that calls for a Hindu only state instead of the otherwise religiously diverse, India. Depicting an ordinary day in the life of a devout nationalist, the drawings are set within the backdrop of the current socio-political landscape of the Indian state.
